NEW BAR ANNOUNCEMENT: SEAHORSE Chocolate FLAKY SEA SALT Bar
A Perfect Twist on an Elite Combination
Seahorse Chocolate, fresh off their big win at the Good Food Awards with their Zorzal Bar, just released a brand new chocolate bar for all to enjoy. Introducing… the Seahorse Chocolate Flaky Sea Salt Bar.
Crafted with the same single-origin cacao that delivered the winning bar, this gem features a touch of Bitterman’s fleur de sel running straight through the chocolate. Each bar then “gets finished with a sprinkle of Bitterman’s Cypriot lemon flake salt for pops of crunchy, zesty flavor.”
Per the official description, the bar features tasting notes of raspberry, lemon zest, salted caramel.

Seahorse Chocolate’s Dominican Republic cacao is sourced from Zorzal, a Bird Friendly® certified farm “prized for its bright, fruity character.” Yes, I said bird-friendly, and yes, we absolutely LOVE that here at ultra vegan-friendly Chocolate Connoisseur! The Bird Friendly® designation is a standard based on decades of research from Smithsonian scientists.
Obtaining this certification requires farms to be “deforestation-free, certified organic, and rich with real habitat for birds, whether that’s a diverse shade canopy or protected forest.” It’s a next level endeavor that deserves an extra tip of the cap, and we hope you’ll show this outstanding Bend, Oregon chocolate maker a little love.
