COCO Launches the Love is Simple Collection, Featuring a Design by British Artist Thomas Paine

If you’ve yet to hear of COCO, let this Valentine’s Day serve as your formal introduction to this unique chocolate company out of Edinburgh, Scotland’s capitol. Their tagline alone should intrigue you –

“COCO is a canvas for artists and artisans alike: those who dare to innovate, inspire and challenge. This is where creativity and cocoa collide. There is no compromise on style or substance.”

If it doesn’t, their mission surely will –

“We meticulously craft our portfolio of premium chocolate bars with the world’s finest South American cocoa before enveloping them in original designs by independent artists.”

COCO recently started reaching out to us, hoping to announce their latest offerings far and wide, and we were particularly enticed by their three new products for Valentine’s Day — all part of the Love Is Simple Collection, featuring a design by British artist Thomas Payne.

“Symbolising the love affair between chocolate and art, which characterises the brand, all three Love Collections launch in time for Valentine’s Day 2020.”

COCO consciously sought to move away from conventional Valentine’s Day-themed colors and patterns, instead offering an original and contemporary look for this new line.

Their Love is Simple line brings that concept home nicely –

The new line presents a Six Bar Milk Chocolate Collection, the Isle of Skye Sea Salt Caramel Truffle Collection, and a Six Bar Dark Chocolate Collection as well.

The Six Bar Milk Chocolate Collection (pictured above) includes six 80g milk, single origin chocolate bars:

• Colombian Plain Milk
• Orange
• Lavender
• Rhubarb & Ginger
• Isle of Skye Sea Salt Milk
• Salted Caramel

COCO crafts all these bars with ethically-sourced Colombian cacao.

The Six Bar Dark Chocolate Collection (pictured above) includes six 80g dark single origin chocolate bars:

• Isle of Skye Sea Salt
• Earl Grey Tea
• Cold Brew Coffee
• Passion Fruit
• Gin & Tonic
• Colombian Plain Dark Chocolate

Crafted with the same origin cacao as the Milk Chocolate Collection, the dark bars offer the added benefit of being vegan.

Finally, the Isle of Skye Sea Salt Caramel Truffles (pictured below) contains twenty soft-centered truffles, each crafted with dark chocolate (of the same Colombian origin as the previous two options), caramel, a hint of vanilla, and sea salt from the Isle of Skye.

COCO’s Director, Calum Haggerty, voiced his pleasure with this specific, artistic partnership –

“We’re very pleased with the results of this collaboration. Being a sign-writer, I use the finest gold leaf to mirror glass and apply to shopfronts. It denotes quality.
