“I don’t drink anymore… I freeze it and eat it like a popsicle.”

— Dean Martin

Summer… is there a more lovable season?  We all need the sun to survive (just like chocolate, right?), and in no other season can we soak up that pure energy than during the bright, vibrant, upbeat days of summer.  Whether your favorite way to enjoy a lazy summer day is lying in the shade sipping a cold drink to cool off, basking in the rays after a dip in the pool, or something else entirely, who doesn’t appreciate an ice cold popsicle on a hot summer day?

So take off those shades for just a minute and check out our recipe for a Bomb Pop Martini — and if it doesn’t bring you back to your childhood, we don’t know what will!

The following recipe yields one 8 oz. serving, best served in a martini glass

Bomb Pop Martini

INGREDIENTS
Grenadine
4 oz. Island Blue Pucker
3 oz. Bacardi Limon
1 oz. pineapple juice

INSTRUCTIONS

Fill a shaker halfway with ice.

Add the Island Blue Pucker, Bacardi Limon and pineapple juice.

Shake well.

Pour into martini glass.

Carefully pour a thin stream of grenadine down the inside of the glass so it pools in the bottom.  Do not mix.

You should now have both a red and a blue layer. Beautiful & delicious!
