LetterPress Chocolate Tanzania Dark Chocolate Ice Cream

“”When I have bad days, I just eat lots of chocolate ice cream and dance to the ‘Lion King’ soundtrack. It’s really odd, but it’s true.”

— Blake Lively

As I gradually work towards becoming a vegan, the one true obstacle in my way is this simple little treasure we’re showcasing today: ICE CREAM. So mark my words, I will make this amazing recipe from LetterPress once (okay maybe two or three times), and then I’ll experiment with vegan options until I get it perfectly right.

I’m thinking perhaps a merge of this ice cream recipe, and the one we published a few years back from Elements Truffles, may achieve absolute dark chocolate ice cream nirvana.

If you’d like me to share that hybrid once I’ve mastered it, just drop a comment below and let me know. Even if we don’t officially publish it, I’ll send it your way regardless, because, well, #chocolatelove.

For now, however, let’s give a big, heartfelt THANK YOU to David Menkes at LetterPress for sending this freakin’ delicious masterpiece our way for the new issue. I feel like Pavlov’s dog right now every time I type the words “LetterPress” or “ice cream,” so without further ado, DING! Let’s hit the kitchen and make some ice cream!
